This shirting weight fabric has natural slubs in the yarn, creating a slight texture that remains soft. The drape has body to it, typical of 100% linen. Perfect for shirts and slouchy pants as well as caftans. The white may require a lining, depending on end use.
Made for slow fashion! Linen is a durable fibre derived from flax, a hardy plant that requires less water than cotton and no fertilizers or pesticides to grow. Flax plants are also extremely versatile, meaning the entire plant can be used (did someone say minimal waste?). The flax used in this quality is imported from Europe, cultivated without irrigation, and is GMO free.
