Class: True Beginner Sewing

Class: True Beginner Sewing – Envelope Pillow Cover

In this class you will gain confidence with your machine by making a simple envelope  pillow cover for a 16" pillow form (purchased separately). If you work swiftly, you may also  complete one or two ties for your pillow cover!  

Skill Level: True Beginner 

No skills needed! Great for beginners with no previous experience or for those who would like to refresh their skills after a hiatus from sewing. 

Ages 18+ 

Supplies (Not included in the cost of the class) 

• Quilting cotton, or home décor weight fabric - Wash and dry your fabric before class

o 1yard if fabric is narrower than 46” 

o ¾ yard if fabric is wider than 46” 

• Thread to match 

• Sewing machine needle 

• Fabric scissors 

• Seam ripper

• Measuring tape 

• Pins 

• Tailor’s chalk (contrasting to fabric color) 

• 16” Pillow form  

Equipment: Sewing machine & machine manual (Sewing machines are available to rent while in class for $10)
