Class: Classic Carry-all Tote
Learn sewing basics by making your very own personal and functional tote bag that can carry it all - from farmers market purchases to your next big haul at Fiber Snob! Learn basic construction, how to box corners, attach handles, hide seams, and optionally how to make straps from matching fabric. This class will also tackle how to confidently sew through bulky layers and how to measure, mark, and pin with accuracy. This one is also fun with friends! Size variable, pictured is15" width x 14" height
Skill Level: Beginner
Ages 12+
Supplies (Not included in the cost of the class)
• 1/2 yd mid-heavy fabric for exterior
• 1/2 yd mid-heavy fabric for lining
• 1.25yd heavy cotton webbing for straps OR 1/4 yd heavy fabric for making straps
• Thread to match
• Sewing machine needle
• Fabric scissors
• Seam ripper
• Measuring tape
• Pins
• Tailor’s chalk (contrasting to fabric color)
• Straight acrylic ruler 18” or longer recommended
Equipment: Sewing machine & machine manual (Sewing machines are available to rent while in class for $10)

Be prepared - Class supplies are available for purchase at Fiber Snob in person or online. Please note that our store hours are Tuesday-Friday, 11am-5pm and Saturday-Sunday, 11am-4pm
This class requires a minimum of 3 participants. The class may be subject to cancellation if the minimum enrollment is not achieved.
