Class: Silky Sampler

Have you always wanted to try sewing with silky fabrics but felt intimidated? Have you sewn with rayon challis but are ready to explore silk crepe de chine or viscose charmeuse? Want to test out sewing with different fibers in silky fabrics? Then this is the class for you! You will practice seams and finishes on some of the different silky/slippery fabrics we have in shop, and take home your own silky sampler. Fabrics will be provided

Skill Level: All Skill Levels

Ages: 16+

Supplies (Not included in the cost of the class)
● Brightly colored thread (red/orange/yellow)
● Microtex type sewing machine needles size 65/9 or 75/11 
● Fabric scissors
● Thread snips
● Seam ripper
● Seam gauge
● Wonder clips
● Glass head pins
● Heat or air erasable fabric pens

Equipment: Sewing machine & machine manual (Sewing machines are available to rent while in class for $10)

Be prepared - Class supplies are available for purchase at Fiber Snob in person or online.  Please note that our store hours are Tuesday-Friday, 11am-5pm and Saturday and Sunday, 11am-4pm
