Class: Roomy Tote Bag

Description: Sew a roomy tote bag that is perfect for trips to the beach, farmer’s
market or everyday errands. Fill it with goodies for a thoughtful handmade holiday
gift. In this class, students will learn about basic bag construction and seam finishes
while making a sturdy tote with two exterior pockets.

Skill Level: All Levels

Ages: 14+

Supplies (not included):

• 1.5 yards of medium to heavy weight fabric. Recommended fabrics include
  cotton canvas, twill, denim, barkcloth, and light upholstery.
• Matching 100% polyester thread
• Size 14 or 16 universal or denim sewing needle
• 2.5 yards of 1-1.5” wide cotton webbing for straps
  

Basic sewing tools will be provided, including: iron, rotary cutters, fabric scissors,
cutting mats, pins/clips, fabric marking pens, and quilting rulers
