Class: Pie Tote
This unique tote is designed to keep your homemade pies, tarts, and casseroles upright and secure—perfect for transporting your favorite dishes to potlucks and gatherings.
In this 3-hour class, students will learn how to make sturdy fabric straps and attach handles to a fully lined square tote. By the end of the session, you’ll have a functional, handmade carrier that’s as practical as it is charming.
Finished dimensions: 15” square pie tote, fitting a 12” round dish, up to 5” tall

Supplies (Not included in the cost of the class):

Fabric:
- 0.5 yards of medium weight fabric for the exterior
- 0.5 yards of medium weight fabric for the interior
- 0.5 yards of lightweight fusible interfacing
- Thread to match
- Sewing machine needle
- Fabric scissors
- Seam ripper
- Measuring tape
- Pins
- Tailor’s chalk (contrasting to fabric color)
Equipment: Sewing machine & machine manual (Sewing machines are available to rent while in class for $10)
