Studio: Get to Know Your Sewing Machine!

Are you having trouble getting projects completed because of issues with your sewing machine? Are you wondering if it's you or if it's your machine? Do you have questions about the dials and levers on your machine? This studio time is for you to ask questions and receive instruction on using and maintaining your machine in a way that will help it to help you make amazing creations! (Note: Even if you are an intermediate level sewer, you may benefit from this studio time if you have been frustrated when using a sewing machine.)

This studio time is a machine tutorial, not intended for machine repair

Skill Level: Beginning to Intermediate

Ages: 9+ (under 16 needs to be accompanied by a guardian)

Supplies: 

• Your machine
• Sewing machine manual
• Quality thread - 40-50 wt. Cotton or Polyester
• Sewing machine needle 
• Wound bobbin for your machine
• Fabric scissors or nippers (mostly for cutting thread)

This studio does not include a sewing project. Please bring the project that is troubling you, or fabric scraps for use. The goal is for you to feel more confident when you start your next project.
