Class: Toiletry Bag/Dopp Kit

Description:  Get a head start on your holiday gift-making by sewing a stylish, versatile toiletry bag (also known as a Dopp Kit). This timeless, unisex bag is perfect for organizing toiletries, sewing supplies, craft projects and travel essentials on the go. In this class, students will make a fully lined, boxy bag with enclosed seams, install a zipper and sew french seams.

Skill Level: All Levels

Ages: 14+

Supplies (not included): 

• Fat quarter (18” x 22”) each of two medium to heavy weight fabrics. This can include cotton canvas, twill, denim, barkcloth, and light upholstery. Lining may be a lighter weight, like quilting cotton
• Matching 100% polyester thread
• Size 12 or 14 universal sewing needle
• 16-20” closed end zipper (not an invisible zipper)
• 10 inches of 1-1.5” wide cotton webbing 

Basic sewing tools will be provided, including: iron, rotary cutters, fabric scissors, cutting mats, pins/clips, fabric marking pens, and quilting rulers
